Occasionally, I like to post things that I come across on the internet. My site reviews cars and I heard it’s good to be social when promoting websites so I chatted up the owner of http://craigslistcars.info and asked him what his site was all about. Carl said that he likes to use Craigslist for purchasing most of his belongings and has found great deals on used vehicles. So he wants to make a site that highlights cars within the Seattle area and post them on his site. I think he said he’s planning on expanding his locations once traffic picks up, but for now he’s sticking to Seattle. Watch Out for Odometer Crooks
Four men were charged in Puyallup for changing the odometers on various used cars. They were taking off approximately 95,000 miles on each car. Not only is this bad for used car dealers reputations, but it’s also dangerous for the potential buyer as mechanical failures can happen on the road.
So what is the lesson learned from this? ALWAYS make sure to get a Carfax report and compare your notes to what the dealer actually reports.
